50ohm BNC Jack to Two BNC Female Adapter
The BNC (Bayonet Neill-Concelman) connector is a widely used miniature RF connector for coaxial cables. Its design features a twist-to-lock mechanism, ensuring quick and secure connections. This type of connector was initially developed for military applications in the 1940s and has since found extensive use in various fields.
BNC connectors are available in 50-ohm and 75-ohm versions, both designed to maintain the characteristic impedance of the cable across the connection. They are suitable for transmitting radio-frequency signals up to approximately 2 gigahertz and 500 volts. Their applications include video signal transmission, amateur radio equipment antenna connections, and connections in avionics and other electronic test equipment. In the past, BNC connectors were also commonly used in early computer networks such as Arcnet, the IBM PC Network, and the 10Base2 variant of Ethernet.
